What time do the gates open?
Generally our main gates open at least 1 hour prior to the first race on raceday. First race times are available on the race event page under Events & Ticketing. Alternatively all Wyong scheduled races times are advertised in major newspapers, available on TAB websites and SKY Channel.
Can I access the Members Stand if i’m not a member?
Yes. Wyong Race Club guests can purchase Members Stand passes at our Raceday Office (located to the right of the Howarth Street gate entrance). More information and pricing can be found on the Admission page.
How do I get to Wyong?
Where can I stay?
Is there parking available at Wyong Race Club?
There is ample parking directly on our grounds for around 500 vehicles. Please note however on major raceday’s such as Gold Cup and Magic Millions the carparks tend to exhaust quickly and public transport is recommended.
Is there public transport close by?
Yes! In fact we are situated around 50 meters from Wyong Train Station. This is a key station of the Central Coast and all Northern Line trains stop here. The walk from the train station is mild with no hills and takes around 5 mins.
All northern Central Coast bus lines stop at Wyong Train Station providing for a easy trek by bus from areas of the Central Coast.
Wyong Train Station has a taxi stand however generally it can be quicker to walk to the station to catch a taxi. Wait times can be long from the race course.
Uber is increasing its presence in this area but isn’t quite as saturated as some areas of Sydney.

Can I bring kids to the races?
Sure. However all children MUST be accompanied by a parent or guardian under the Liquor Licencing Act and are not permitted to approach any on course bar or approach the saddling enclosure.
We have in place an under 18’s wrist-band system where the minor and the guardian can be identified by Wyong Race Club staff easily. Wrist-bands will be issued at the front gate. Failure to wear or removal of wrist-bands will result in dismissal.
Children under 16 receive complimentary entry to Wyong Race Club and if entering the Members Stand, dress codes apply (below).
What do I wear?
General admission to Wyong Racecourse requires all patrons to be neatly attired with shoes and shirts to be worn at all times. Please be advised that offensive or inappropriate attire may result in dismissal of the facility.
Our Members Stand requires minimum dress standards for both men and women.
Gentlemen – Smart casual
- Collard shirt
- Dress trousers or jeans (no tears or tracksuits)
- Appropriate footwear (shoes and socks)
- In the warmer months of the year we permit dress shorts with appropriate footwear (no thongs)
Ladies – Smart racewear
- Neat smart casual or formal attire
- Headwear is encouraged but not compulsory
- Suitable footwear (no thongs)
Children – Smart casual
- Children must be suitably attired
- Footwear must be worn
Can I bring food into the races?
Absolutely. Picnic style food and snacks including finger foods and non-perishable items are welcome. Picnic food may be consumed in our general admission spaces such as our lawns and public grandstand only and NOT within our pre-booked function and dining areas.
Please note that disposable cutlery is permitted only. No metal cutlery or knives please.
Can I bring alcohol to the races?
No. We are a fully licenced premises and under Liquor Act 2007 we cannot permit the entry of BYO alcohol products. There are ample bars and facilities on course each raceday to purchase beverages.
Please note that Wyong Race Club reserves the right to check bags/eskies/goods on entry to the racecourse.

Can I reserve tables and chairs in public areas?
No. Our general admission areas such as our Sincero Bar, bistro, grandstand, concourse and lawns are freely available for all patrons and cannot be reserved. First come, first served only.
Can I reserve tables in the Members Stand?
No. These can be secured on a first come, first served basis or by purchasing a raceday luncheon package only.
In accordance with Australian smoking laws, smoking is only permitted in Designated Smoking Areas which are clearly signed at selected lawn spaces to the rear of the facility.
Fines can be issued by Health Officials to those who are caught smoking in non smoking areas.
Lost property (if found during raceday) is kept at our raceday office located beside the Howarth Street gate entry. After raceday items are transferred to our Administration for collection. For lost property enquiries please phone (02) 4352 1083.
Lost property items are kept for 3 months and then disposed of accordingly.
